Ingredients
1 tablespoon sugar
2 cups 00 flour
2 eggs
2 egg yolks
3 tbsp white rum
1/8 teaspoon of salt
Icing sugar
Deep-frying oil (sunflower)
Preparation
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, eggs, egg yolks, rum, 1 tbsp sugar and salt
Knead the mixture into a smooth ball of dough
Let the ball of dough rest for approx. 30 minutes
In a deep fry pan, heat the oil
Roll out ¼ of the dough using a pasta machine
Using a ravioli cutter, cut the sheet of dough into stripes and form bow’s
Fry the bow’s 4-5 at a time until they are golden (repeat process with the rest of the dough)
Place on scott-towel in order to remove access oil
Sprinkle some icing sugar and serve
